You are indeed among like minds on this site. I too am an organist in my 56th year of this profession playing in one of the two largest Lutheran parishes in my area.
Do you play in a church in Nigeria - I know of a few pipe organs there, maybe you can give us more insight on this?

I'm not sure. I've heard about smuggling diamonds and other large, very large, precious stones,
all with very beautiful colours, out of Nigeria in organ tubes.
However, I'm willing to trust my psychic online sense, and riff offa Seun Jacobs,
saying I'm feeling he's a little heavy on the bass pedals.
And I like it heavy on all the keys.
They say there are more Rolls Royce cars, abandoned in the jungles of India,
than there are on the road anywhere else.
Maybe travelling rock stars, doing live aids for African countries,
in more dangerous times,
befell similar fates during international tours,
and the jungles of Africa are littered with old Hammond B3 organs.
You never know until you've been there.
