Windows 8 is not being well received
Adobe could be joining them in the foot shooting

Pay for a monthly licence to use their products just so you get it updated all the time. People with no internet connection will just have to soldier on with the current release and not get any new bells and whistles.
Evidently you can get a single product licence for less per month, but it still sounds like a con trick. Plus they will be continuing with their unfair pricing policy whereby we in UK pay about 50% more than USA customers, and if we try to by from Amazon.com instead of Amazon.co.uk it gets blocked. In the past they have claimed translation costs as a reason for higher pricing, I always thought we supposedly spoke the same language in UK as in USA with a few minor spelling differences
Mind you it doesn't bother me at all, I don't use any Adobe products apart from freeby Flash Player which some sites call for, I don't need Reader for PDFs, plenty of clones about for that.
