In Christoph Wolff's seminal work "J.S.Bach, The Learned Musician" pg.226, Dr. Wolff points to Wilhelm Friedeman Bach as the beneficiary of the Orgel-Büchlein, among other things. Dr. Wolff also posits that JSBach provided samples of these works when he applied for a position at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig.These chorales form part of the "Little Organ Book". Used by the great master to teach the art of improvisation (on a hymn tune), can't remember which of his sons it was aimed at ... but I'm sure some Einstein here will fill in this knowledge gap.
