I downloaded the CD, 'Cocktails For Two' a 'Live' set by the Harry Allen and Joe Temperley Quintet with John Bunch,Greg Cohen and Jake Hanna. Excellent session, mainstream at it's best.
A bouncing boppish Blues In The Closet, plus individual feature each for both saxophonists, a superb John Bunch feature on My Romance, Ellington's In A Mellotone, a long loping Sweet and Lovey in a nod to Monk, and Basie's Jumpin' At The Woodside.

I have Lateef's CD "Eastern Sounds" recorded in 1961 on which he plays tenor sax, oboe and a Chinese globular flute which is 1200 years old and made of clay. I love the album. The only standards he plays among the nine pieces are 'Don't Blame and the Love Themes from Spartacus and "The Robe". The other six are his own compositions. Thanks for reminding of it.

From a jazz viewpoint I find the music different but interesting.
I probably wont buy it.

I dont know if it is relevant but Amazon UK appear to have Coltrane's Sound available.
