'Twas the week before Christmas, and all around the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
When all of a sudden, the church organist being so meek,
realized that he was to be busy during Christmas week.
It's Messiah weekend he said, touching the side of his nose,
and rehearsals are a many, and no time to doze.
And lo he went, playing again and again,
so looking forward to the following week end.
He wont be around much in the next few days or so,
Off to the playing gigs, and rehearsals he knows.
Dash away Jetta, dash down the road,
Return home again, to sleep at his abode.
All to do it all over again the next day he said,
looking forward to that eve after services to return to bed.
And then there will be Christmas Day with the ham in the oven,
and a meal to share with family and his son.
Dash away Jetta ... run run run run,
I'll do it all again next year ... fun fun fun fun.

Same here, Teddy. Great thing about being a Teacher? Only 180 "work" days out of 365. A mere 49% of the year...
:lol: and I think of you'all eating and drinking while I am working too much ... :nut:
With the annual performance of Messiah done last night, the rest of my holiday playing season is all downhill ...
I might have time for eating and drinking at last ... :alc:
I still tend to watch my eating habits ... the pounds go on easily but take forever to come off. Besides, I take Metformin twice a day and that severely affects how much I eat and when.

I am on 2000 mg of Metformin plus 4 Gliclalize tablets, asprin and now the tablets for the cancer, which make me feel like ****. I just starve to get my weighjt down, which works well for me and has allowed me to shift five stone, and keep it off. Christmas Day I will stuff, Boxing day I will be very careful to make up for it
