After the blizzard on Sunday/Monday, we are having a veritable "heat wave", with temps in the 30's going down to the 20's tonite. However, many of the side roads in Queens are still impassable with snow and ice. and parking one's car--not to mention digging it out--is very difficult indeed. Ah, well, the wonders of retirement canot be overstated! :tiphat::sleep:

It's finally warmed up a bit, and I was able--4 days after the blizzard--to dig my car out and not have to worry about it being plowed in again by NYC Sanitation. At least I hope I don't have to worry anymore. :rolleyes::pray:

Winter has finally arrived in the Arizona high desert ... :clap:
Currently at 20,15 it's 40°F/4.4°C and going down to ~25°F/~-4°C.
A full day of rain and high winds ... left 2 or 3 feet of snow on the mountain ranges to the east and north (Tucson is in a valley surrounded on all sides by mountain ranges).

Hey, that's good news Steve. :up: Hope your car didn't get mangled by the NYCS like some other folks' did. :rolleyes:

Here it's really been a lovely day, sunny and up to 1C. Still plenty of snow on the ground.

40f overcast and still. Feels warmer.. News last night said that the whole of America was snowed in. Trust you will all keep warm out there

:) Bright and warm today! The temp has been climbing since yesterday afternoon - now a little over +5C! Forecast sez this will be around for at least another day before we head back to some real winter. We still can't complain over the small amount of snow in this part of the world.

We are still in a warming trend, with rain predicted overnight and into Sunday morning. So perhaps the 20+ inches of snow which fell on us last Sunday will finally be on the way out, until the next storm, of course! :rolleyes: :cry:

It's been overcast with scattered rain throughout the day. Unusually warm with temp's in the low 40'sF. With such warm temp's and lots of snow we are also having dense fog...
Much of the snow has melted, bare ground in areas that were shovled or plowed. About 6-8 inches remain though it is melting fast.
