How's Your Weather?

We are having a "heat wave" what with temps in the middle twenties, no wind to speak of, and lots of sunshine. Hopefully, it will last and keep on being moderate till spring and baseball season arrive! Nights are still brutally cold, though.

My neck of the woods is having a snow storm right now and
I'm bored silly with nothing else to do. I've knitted and
crocheted my fingers to the bone, ate what I could get my
hands on, and play computer games until I've grown tired
of them. Now what?

40°f/4.5°c @ 0345 - Clear, no wind.

Judy, there's always crossword puzzles ... keeps the ol' brain clicking and active, especially those from Steve's territory, the NY Times crosswords.

Currently, it's sunny @ 4°C/39°F. We've had a few days recently with the temps up to 15°C. A prediction of spring?

Beautiful clear sky - but very cold! Windchill -18C. The snow has also caught up to us. That corner that spring is around seems a long way away. ATB! :)

Hi Lars. You are absolutely on target with that suggestion. Just set yourself the challenge of doing the Saturday or Sunday NY Times Crossword Puzzle in less than a day--as I have so often tried and failed. Also, if I may suggest the NY Newsday.com online crossword puzzles for a small fee every month; the Saturday ones are always the most daunting, and will definitely tide you over till the spring thaw with your brain as sharp as a knife!

I've never lived here, so I'd fail miserably. Actually, I just did. In THIS, easier, version of the quiz...

Sorry I don't have the brains for crosswords. Sudoko you can
just forget! I've played a game on the DS that I can't seem to
put down called Jewel Quest solitare. As for the weather today,
it's sunshine at 42 degrees right now. A heatwave has come.
Hopefully I can get out of my appartment by monday without
falling on my fanny. I'm glad to see this snow leave. For a
soverneer I had my husband to make us real snow cones with
some kind of fruit punch to make it taste good and feel good
going down. The weather can wait until next Christmas to
do that again. I do hope spring is just around the corner.

falling on my fanny.

I assume the word fanny has a different meaning in America than it does in England?

Cold again and windy and over cast and..........
